1. Overview
MyDogRules.com (“MDR”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an online community for dog owners to connect, share, and participate in activities such as competitions, forums, and reward programs. These Terms govern all use of the MDR website, membership accounts, competitions, promotions, and rewards programs.
2. Membership Tiers
MDR offers three levels of access:
(a) General Visitors
Anyone may view most public content on the website without registration. Access to certain features (including posting content, competitions, or member benefits) requires membership.
(b) Mutt Member
A free membership tier that allows registered users to:
- Create a profile for themselves and their dog(s)
- Upload images, stories, and participate in community discussions
- Comment, react, and share posts within the community
(c) Top Dog Member
A premium membership tier that includes all “Mutt Member” privileges plus:
- Entry into exclusive MDR competitions
- Access to prizes, rewards, and point-based systems
- Discounts on dog-related products and services, including dog food, grooming, insurance, and veterinary services (where available)
- Invitations to events, promotions, and exclusive community activities
Top Dog Membership may involve a subscription fee, which will be clearly stated at the time of sign-up or renewal.
3. Account Registration and Security
- Members must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or participate in competitions.
- You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration and to keep your details up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
- MDR reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in inappropriate, offensive, or fraudulent activity.
4. Content and Image Usage
By uploading content, including photos, videos, or written material (“User Content”), you grant MDR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content for promotional and community purposes, including but not limited to:
- Featuring your dog on the website or social media pages
- Including images in competition galleries or highlight posts
- Using content to promote MDR competitions, events, or partners
You retain ownership of your content. MDR will not sell user-submitted images or data to third parties without permission.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights of others.
5. Competitions and Promotions
Eligibility:
- Competitions are open only to Top Dog Members, unless otherwise stated.
- Entries must be submitted within the specified timeframe.
- Only one entry per competition per registered dog, unless otherwise permitted.
Judging and Prizes:
- All competitions are judged fairly by MDR staff or third-party partners.
- Winners will be notified via email or through their MDR account.
- Prizes, awards, and recognitions are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash unless specifically stated.
- MDR reserves the right to modify, replace, or cancel competitions or prizes at its discretion.
Rights to Content in Competitions:
By entering a competition, you grant MDR permission to use your dog’s name, likeness, image, and entry content for promotional purposes related to the competition and the MDR platform.
6. Points, Rewards, and Redemption
Earning Points:
Members may earn “MDR Points” through various actions, including:
- Entering competitions
- Referring friends
- Participating in discussions
- Completing challenges or quizzes
Redeeming Points:
- Points may be redeemed for rewards, discounts, or entry credits.
- Points hold no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- MDR reserves the right to adjust point values, availability, or redemption terms at any time.
- Points may expire or reset during system upgrades or policy changes; notice will be given in advance where possible.
7. Discounts and Third-Party Offers
Top Dog Members may access special offers or discounts from MDR partners.
- These offers are subject to each partner’s individual terms and conditions.
- MDR is not responsible for the delivery, quality, or service of third-party products or promotions.
- Discounts may vary by region and may be withdrawn or updated without notice.
8. Community Conduct
MDR is a positive, inclusive community for dog lovers. Members agree to:
- Be respectful toward others.
- Avoid offensive, harmful, or discriminatory content.
- Not spam, advertise, or solicit products or services without MDR’s permission.
- Not upload content that contains nudity, violence, or material that may offend other users.
MDR reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate community standards.
9. Limitation of Liability
MDR provides this website “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
MDR is not liable for:
- Any loss, damage, or injury resulting from use of the website or participation in competitions.
- Technical issues, delays, or interruptions in access.
- User content posted by members or actions of third parties.
