🐶 Quick Feeding Chart
How Much & How Often to Feed Your Dog (By Age & Size)
Important (but not scary) note:
This chart is a starting guide, not a commandment.
Always adjust portions based on your dog’s body condition, energy level, and common sense.
🦴 PUPPY FEEDING GUIDE
🐕 Puppies: Small Breeds (Adult weight under 10kg / 22lb)
| Puppy Age | Meals Per Day | Portion Guidance |
| 8–12 weeks | 4 meals | Follow puppy food guide closely |
| 3–6 months | 3 meals | Slightly increase portions as growth speeds up |
| 6–10 months | 2–3 meals | Start tapering toward adult portions |
| 10–12 months | 2 meals | Transition to adult food when advised |
📝 Small dogs grow fast, mature early, and act dramatic about food.
🐕 Puppies: Medium Breeds (Adult weight 10–25kg / 22–55lb)
| Puppy Age | Meals Per Day | Portion Guidance |
| 8–12 weeks | 4 meals | Puppy food only |
| 3–6 months | 3 meals | Increase gradually |
| 6–12 months | 2–3 meals | Maintain steady growth |
| 12 months | 2 meals | Transition to adult food |
📝 Medium dogs are athletic teenagers with opinions.
🐕 Puppies: Large & Giant Breeds (Adult weight 25kg+ / 55lb+)
| Puppy Age | Meals Per Day | Portion Guidance |
| 8–12 weeks | 4 meals | Large-breed puppy food ONLY |
| 3–6 months | 3 meals | Controlled portions are critical |
| 6–18 months | 2–3 meals | Slow, steady growth is the goal |
| 12–18 months | 2 meals | Transition to adult food carefully |
⚠️ Big dogs need slow growth to protect joints — more food is NOT better.
